Valeriy Pushchin - Founder & Director
Captain Valeriy Pushchin began his career in shipping in 1988 at the Odessa State Maritime Academy in Ukraine, after which he sailed on various types of vessels for 15 years and obtained the German Captain’s License. In 2003, he continued his career ashore as an inspector and later as Safety, Risk, and Quality Manager, DPA/CSO, and Managing Director at various ship-owning companies.
Captain Valeriy Pushchin has managed entities with more than 30 ships in technical and 80+ ships in crewing management. He has extensive managerial and practical expertise in the shipping industry and is highly invested in learning more about his clients’ everyday activities and challenges on board for a holistic consultancy approach.
Auditors
Capricorn Maritime’s team consists of several master mariners with on- and off-shore experience as Marine & Vetting Superintendent, DPA/CSO, and Risk & Safety Manager. All our auditors are certified according to ISM, ISPS, and MLC standards, as well as ISO norms (9001, 14001, 27001, 45001, 50001).
